When choosing a position title for your job posting on LinkedIn or any job board, I recommend using a specific title rather than a generic one, especially if a particular skill is a must-have. And when you know if a candidate doesn’t have that skill, it will be a deal breaker.

For example, if you need a DevOps professional with AWS skills, use “AWS DevOps Engineer” instead of just “DevOps Engineer.”

This way many candidates out-select themselves if they don't have AWS experience.

While a specific title might narrow your reach, it significantly increases the chances of getting appropriate applications and in turn, it saves your resume screening time.

 Happy Recruiting!
