#018  Google Alerts Your Key to Staying Ahead in Recruitment in 2023

Do you know how you can leverage Google Alerts to stay on top of the latest recruiting trends in your industry and make informed decisions.   

Let me tell you how you can do that.

First off, go to Google Alerts and check if you have logged in to your account. This way, you can receive email alerts in your inbox. 

Enter a topic you want to follow in the text box and write a boolean string around it. 

Let's say you want to track recent layoff or recruiting trends in the tech industry. 

Your boolean search string will look something like this: 

(layoff OR layoffs) AND (recruiting OR trend OR trends) AND (FAANG OR “Tech Industry” OR "Tech Startup” OR Tech) 2023

I suggest playing around with the boolean string to get the desired results, and you can adjust the settings as per your needs. 

Finally, hit Create Alert, and you’ll receive emails whenever Google finds matching search results. 

Just make sure the Google Alert emails are not going to your spam folder.
